Maria Luisa Parra
Academic Director
Dr. María Luisa Parra holds a degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics. With 20 years of experience in second language acquisition and child bilingual development, she currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard. Her research focuses on Spanish as a heritage language, bilingual development, and immigrant families. She is passionate about the complexities and joys of bilingual development and enjoys collaborating with parents, teachers, and pediatricians to enrich the path to multilingualism.
Marcela Fritzler
Academic Director
Marcela Fritzler, founder and pedagogical director of the educational project Sin Fronteras, is a passionate educator and author of educational materials for teaching Spanish as a foreign language (FL), second language (L2), and heritage language (HL). With extensive experience in teacher training and educational technology course design, Marcela is dedicated to promoting multilingualism and transmedia literacy in education.
Gabriela Badillo
Creative Director
Gabriela Badillo, co-founder and director of the design and animation studio Hola Combo, is the creative force behind the 68 Voices project. With a deep commitment to social responsibility and cultural preservation, Gabriela collaborates with indigenous communities to create animated short films showcasing their languages and native stories. Through her work, she aims to promote inclusion, challenge stereotypes, and inspire pride in cultural identity.
Oliver G. Sanchez
Business Operations
Oliver G. Sanchez, Managing Partner at AccelHUB and AccelHUB Venture Partners, brings over two decades of experience in digital health and tech startups to YoSoy. With an MBA from Bentley University and a background in operations, product consulting, and business development, Oliver specializes in supporting Latin American entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses in the U.S. through strategic guidance, resources, and capital.
